The Minions have already taken over the animated world. Now they are wreaking havoc on the real one.

A 40-foot-tall inflatable version of one of the popular characters from "Despicable Me" and their own blockbuster movie this summer caused a traffic jam outside Dublin on Monday when it came off its moorings and tumbled onto the road. Luckily no one was injured, and authorities were called and deflated the Minion.

It all started innocently with the Minion being used for a local fair.

Then the Minion went airborne for a stunning scene to oncoming drivers.

“I’m not sure how it got loose but I just saw it coming loose and flying across the road as we were driving,” motorist Erin Van Londen told Dublin's The Journal.ie. “It’s been very windy in the area.”
