This Disney princess has gone rock star. Demi Lovato, who completed a two-month stint in a treatment facility in Chicago in January, has revealed fresh ink her wrists and says the tattoos--swirling black script spelling out "Stay" and "Strong" and dedicated to her devotees.
"I wanted to show you something that I did recently in honor of my fans and their support," the Sonny With a Chance star says in the Cambrio.com clip (apparently shot at the same time as last week's video message to fans ). "The journey that I went through and the support of my fans was so meaningful for me, I wanted to thank my fans in a way that I know can never be forgotten."
Speaking of journeys, a black-leather-clad, studded-glove-wearing person calling herself " ddlovato (Demetria Lovato) " began tweeting away on Tuesday. So we checked in with her rep to find out if Demi really is back on Twitter...
Sure enough, the account is legit, her rep tells E! News.
Lovato kicked off her return with the message: "Guess who's baaaaaaaack...!!!!!!"
She added: "I love you guys SO MUCH...this support is UNBELIEVABLE. I'm tearing up I'm so thankful," she tweeted to fans.
Since rejoining, she's received well-wishes from fans, including Kim Kardashian, who tweeted: "OMG twitter has missed u soooo much!"
Lovato quit Twitter back in September, just weeks before her meltdown while touring with the Jonas Brothers that led to her seeking treatment for unspecified "personal issues." She didn't close her account, however, retaining her 2.6 million followers.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: The original version of this story indicated that Lovato had gained a "Sheen-esque" 2.6 million followers since relaunching her account; however, she never shuttered her original account, so those were existing subscribers.]
