Defense attorneys in the Anna Nicole Smith drug conspiracy trial are attempting to weaken the credibility of a key prosecution witness.

Defense attorneys on Monday questioned Smith's bodyguard about his plans to profit from his association with the former Playboy model.

Maurice Brighthaupt testified in Los Angeles that he made deals with TV shows to sell photographs and interviews for as much as $40,000 on each contract.

Defense attorneys also said the bodyguard schemed to sell pictures of Smith's newborn baby, but the judge has not yet allowed him to address that in front of the jury.

The former model's two doctors and lawyer-boyfriend have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to provide Smith with massive amounts of drugs. They are not charged with her 2007 drug overdose death in Florida.

Brighthaupt previously testified about drug use by Smith.
