Actor Shemar Moore was sentenced to probation and community service after pleading no contest in an alcohol-related speeding case, officials said Tuesday.

The 37-year-old star of the CBS series “Criminal Minds” was arrested June 1 after being stopped by the California Highway Patrol driving faster than 65 mph on a city street, officials said.

He was charged June 22 with driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or above, city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said.

As part of a plea deal, Moore pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of exhibition of speed, and the DUI charges were dropped, Mateljan said.

He also agreed to 80 hours of community service and was given the choice of wearing an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet, Mateljan said.

“Shemar has not yet made a choice with regard to his community service,” his publicist Staci Wolfe said Monday.

Moore plays FBI profiler Derek Morgan on “Criminal Minds.”

“I’m a serious and conscientious person by nature, but my one vice is driving fast, and it unfortunately took something like this for me to take stock and slow down,” the actor said in a statement last month.
