A Los Angeles County coroner's official says medications have been retrieved from pop star Michael Jackson's home.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter and other investigators emerged from Jackson's rented mansion Monday bearing two large plastic bags.

Winter says the team came to retrieve medications because of information developed by a police investigation along with questions the coroner's office had.

Winter won't say what type of medications were retrieved or the quantity. He also won't say where in the home the medications were found.

Winter says the investigation will continue for four or five weeks.
