Gucci Mane is making fellow Atlanta rapper T.I. look tame.

The Mane man was stopped Tuesday for numerous traffic infractions--among them allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road, running a red light, damaging government property, obstruction, driving without a license and no proof of insurance.

Then, according to the cops, all hell broke loose...

Mane, real name Radric Davis, was behind the wheel of his white Hummer around 11:30 a.m. driving "at a high rate of speed," per an off-duty cop. The officer quickly dispatched on-duty officers, who tracked the SUV to a nearby auto body shop, where Mane was involved in a heated argument.

When cops attempted to break it up, Mane allegedly struck the other man, whose name was not released. Mane refused to submit to police, according to the incident report, and wound up on the receiving end of some pepper spray. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be checked out before he was checked in to Fulton County Jail, where he remains with bond set at $2,500.

The rapper's latest brush with the law comes just months after he was he was released from the same exact facility, where he was serving time for a parole violation.

It seems he's pretty familiar with the joint, having been locked up there at least five times since 2005 on drug, assault and weapon charges.

After he was released last time, in May, Mane declared he'd changed his wild ways.

"I have made some mistakes in my life that have hurt a lot of people who care about me," he said at the time. "This is something that I will make sure never happens again."

Well, never say never.
