Fans of "The Hunger Games" franchise will have to wait a few days before they can catch a glimpse of "Catching Fire." But thanks to "Sesame Street's" latest fun film parody, they can get a taste of the next best thing right now.

In "The Hungry Games: Catching Fur," Cookie Monster takes on the role of Cookieness Evereat, who originally joins the games because, well, cookies.

"Me volunteer!"

But volunteer for what exactly?

"How should I know? I'm just a piece of bread," offered up a not-so-helpful Pita, the perfectly cast Muppet version of Katniss' District 12 pal Peeta.

Actually, all they have to do is solve a few food-related puzzles. Beyond that, viewers really never learn the stakes of The Hungry Games other than a few poking monkeys and a cloud of tickle fog — though it seems a safe bet they're not as unappetizing as the deadly dangers Katniss and Peeta face in "Catching Fire."

No worries for these felt friends though. They're the winners of the games.

"And thankfully me no have to ever, EVER play that again!" Cookieness proclaimed before realizing there's already another filmin the works.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens in theaters nationwide Nov. 22.
