CMT Music Awards nominees: Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton and more make the list

The CMT Music Awards are still a month away, but thanks to singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett, we now know which acts will vie for some of the top honors.

Rhett stopped by TODAY Monday morning and revealed some key nominees.

In the category of Female Video of the Year, the nominees are:

  • Cam, "Burning House"
  • Carrie Underwood, "Smoke Break"
  • Jana Kramer, "I Got the Boy"
  • Kacey Musgraves, "Biscuits"
  • Kelsea Ballerini, "Dibs"
  • Maren Morris, "My Church"

For Male Video of the Year:

  • Blake Shelton, "Sangria"
  • Eric Church, "Like a Wrecking Ball"
  • Keith Urban, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16"
  • Luke Bryan, "Kick the Dust Up"
  • Sam Hunt, "Break Up in a Small Town"

Oh, and there was one more nominee in that last category — which came as a surprise to Rhett. His video for "Die a Happy Man" is up for the award as well.

Rhett already nabbed Single of the Year at the ACM Awards in April for the same song.

As for the overall Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards, Rhett was also among the names on that list.

And finally, Rhett revealed the nominees for Group/Duo Video of the Year in a exclusive, explaining that the category includes "some of his best friends in the business."

The CMT Music Awards airs live June 8.
