• "The Office" just landed another big star for its hourlong season finale on May 19. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a source close to the show confirms that actor Jim Carrey is the latest to sign on for an appearance. He joins Ricky Gervais, Will Arnet, James Spader, Ray Romano and Catherine Tate to interview for Michael Scott's position.
• Get ready for more displays of Jimmy Fallon's amazing musical talent. NBC has renewed "Late Night" for a third season, Entertainment Weekly reports. The show is now set to run through early 2012.
• Coming as a surprise to absolutely no one who tuned in to last season’s “After the Final Rose,” “Bachelor” Brad Womack and his doubt-filled fiancée Emily Maynard are said to have called it quits. According to Life & Style magazine, Maynard did the ditching. “Emily told Brad that she can't picture them getting married,” an insider said. There’s still no official word from the alleged exes, but past “Bachelorette” winner Jesse Csincsak confirmed the news to Hollywood Life.
• The loose-lipped extra who spilled the beans about “Glee’s” soon-to-be crowned prom king and queen may have cut her entertainment career short when she tweeted the spoiler, but the Fox network isn’t convinced that’s enough of a deterrent to future blabbermouths. Gawker reports that network execs are now considering a spoiler crackdown that would include a pricey contract caveat – in other words, if actors reveal the plot points, they can expect to pay up.
• One “Glee” star who knows just what to say is actor Chris Colfer, the man behind Kurt Hummel. Colfer used his power of persuasion to convince Disney to buy a TV pilot he penned. Deadline.com broke the news about Colfer’s upcoming Disney Channel endeavor, which is based on the children’s book ”The little Leftover Witch.”
