Clicky bits: 'Extreme' death toll on 'Vampire Diaries'; 'Idol,' 'Glee' collaboration

Juding from how Elena (Nina Dobrev) is helping Damon (Ian Somerhalder) on "The Vampire Diaries," it seems the finale could be quite tragic.

• "The Vampire Diaries" season finale is looming ever closer, and now, executive producer Julie Plec has some bad news for fans. "There will be some severe and tragic consequences, and that the loss of life will be extreme over the last couple of episodes," she told TVline.com. And it sounds like Original Vampires Klaus and Elijah may be back for season three, so a favorite -- or several -- may be doomed. (Ack! Please don't let it be Damon! Or Bonnie! Or Tyler!)

• "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans was spotted Thursday picking up trash in North Carolina. (See the photo on E! Online.) The reality star is doing 24 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She's due in court again April 29 for breaking and entering and more.

• What do you get when you add the biggest TV show to the biggest new hit show in years? Probably an extra ginormous hit! According to EW.com, "Glee" star Matthew Morrison and season eight "Idol" winner Kris Allen have worked together on Morrison's second single, "Still Got Tonight," from his upcoming solo album. Turns out Allen wrote the song years ago, but scrapped it from his own album.

• In more "Idol" news, season 10 top 24 finisher Jovany Barreto has a famous new mentor. The singer apparently moved Jon Secada when he performed one of the star's tunes this season, and Secada has agreed to work with Baretto, TMZ reports. "I think he's a very talented singer and can be a great asset to the music industry singing both in English and Spanish, Secada told the gossip site.
