You know things have gotten serious when Chuck Lorre responds through an attorney and not a vanity card.

"The allegations in the complaint against Mr. Lorre are as recklessly false and unwarranted as Mr. Sheen's rantings in the media," said the Two and a Half Men creator's attorney in response to the $100 million breach-of-contract suit Sheen filed today against Warner Bros. and Lorre.

"These accusations are simply imaginary," continued lawyer Howard Weitzman. "This lawsuit is about a fantasy 'lottery' pay-day for Charlie Sheen. Chuck Lorre's concern has been and continues to be about Mr. Sheen's health."

Sheen made good on his promise to fire back at his former bosses on all cylinders, calling Lorre the "800-pound gorilla" on set who has made life rough for him and a litany of actors from the producer's past sitcoms, including Roseanne Barr and Grace Under Fire star Brett Butler.

Whether Sheen truly built "the perfect torpedo" or not remains to be seen.
