Christie Brinkley heads to court over custody

Homework, terror-alert transportation are major issues
/ Source: Access Hollywood

Christie Brinkley and her soon to be ex-husband Peter Cook were in a Long Island court house for five hours yesterday. The issue at hand was custody rather than money. There is an iron-clad prenuptial agreement and reports that Brinkley was going to give Cook $25 million to go away is "complete bull---t" according to a source close to the case.It was clear Cook and Brinkley wanted to have little to do with each other. They sat just ten feet from each other in the courtroom and did not glance at each other once. Christie even sat with her back to them.Access producer Tara Bernie was inside the court room where the model and the architect hashed out the painstaking details of the custody of their two children – 8 year old Sailor and 11 year old Jack."Homework was a big issue with Cook," Tara reports. "At one point he asked his attorney ‘Does she do it or does the nanny do it?'"Christie's hot button issue -- if the U.S. should raise the terror advisory, what would be the means of transportation for their children?

"Christie became irritated when Cook wouldn't agree to not taking the children on commercial flights whenever the nation is at ‘red alert.' [she would] rather [they] take private planes," Tara recounts. "Cook finally agreed but only after the judge denied his objection.""When you're in a situation like this you focus on what you can do instead of what you can't do," Christie told cameras.
