Cheeky! Julia Louis-Dreyfus reveals historical 'birthmark'

Julia Louis-Dreyfus sure knows how to get cheeky. The 53-year-old "Veep" star, who made headlines with her nude Rolling Stone cover, poked a little fun at the existing controversy Thursday with another nude photo — but this one's from 1962.

After historical buffs pointed out that John Hancock didn't sign the Constitution, as the fake tattoo featured on her back on the Rolling Stone cover suggests, she tweeted a photo that shows the magazine wasn't at fault for the alleged boo boo.

The picture she shared features a toddler walking away from a toy piano while in the buff ... revealing a clearly Photoshopped signature of one of our Founding Fathers on her lower hip, where it appeared on the Rolling Stone cover.

Louis-Dreyfus' "Veep" co-star Anna Chlumsky stopped by TODAY Friday and briefly discussed the historically inaccurate-fake-tattoo hubbub.

"I don't think that accuracy was on their priority list," she said as she looked on at the sexy Rolling Stone cover shot.

As for that birthmark tweet, Chlumsky added that Louis-Dreyfus "has shamelessly shown us that birthmark since day one (on 'Veep')."

Alas, according to the magazine, that John Hancock was intentional. A rep for the magazine told TODAY that it was "kind of like an Easter egg for 'Veep' fans." The HBO comedy, which stars Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer, is a satire of the incompetence in politics.

Fans, of course, loved the new picture.

On TODAY, Savannah Guthrie told Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Carson Daly that she knows they'll appreciate the actress clearing up the issue "because you told us yesterday that you look at the nude pictures just for the historical documents."

Joked Roker, "Matt's got some racy photos of (former first lady) Dolly Madison that you wouldn't believe."

Meanwhile, a plugged-in Louis-Dreyfus is giving everyone a lesson in how to be funny amid a social media storm, while proving she's also one of the funniest women working today. Now, that's class!
