As new residents of Beverly Hills, the Beckhams might want to make sure that their security system is in working order. Recently, there has been a rash of cat burglaries involving star homes in Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills and Bel-Air, also known as the Platinum Triangle.

The cat burglars consist of two, possibly three men, decked out in black, wearing ski masks and gloves, who so far have hit over 70 homes, walking away with over $7 million in cash and jewels.

Faith Hill and husband Tim McGraw have already been hit. So has the home of former Paramount studio executive Sherry Lansing.

The burglars have left few clues and are targeting the estates of the rich and famous.

The only clue so far? A private security camera caught a brief image of two big (we’re talking 200-pound men) without their masks in two different locations.

The thefts usually occur at night and on weekends, and usually when residents are out of town, understandably creating an atmosphere of fear.

The burglars enter homes using bricks to smash in glass windows, some climbing through second story windows.

The L.A. City Council is offering a reward — $50k for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves.
