This 30-year-old physical education teacher from Tomball, Texas, tells why she'd like to be anchor on TODAY:

Langston Hughes wrote: "What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun?" This poem parallels an aspiration I have had since childhood. I love being a wife, mother, and teacher, but the dream of being an anchor on television has always remained in my heart. I know that TODAY is looking for a "breakthrough" anchor. Bold as it may be, I believe that I am that person.
