Best-selling author Vince Flynn is telling fans that his next Mitch Rapp thriller, "Kill Shot," is being delayed until February while Flynn battles prostate cancer.
Flynn posted a statement on his website Tuesday saying he is fighting fatigue from radiation treatments and finding it difficult to focus on the book.
The Minnesota author says he was hoping to get "Kill Shot" out in time for Christmas. But he says doctors have told him he will not be back to full strength until November.
Rather than hand in a "substandard Rapp novel," Flynn says he decided with his agent and his editor to delay publication until Feb. 7, 2012.
