Britney Spears' latest behavior has a lot of people scratching their heads, and has left her ex-husband reportedly concerned for her well-being.

In fact, Kevin Federline is not ready to sign the final divorce papers because he is worried about Brit's behavior, a source close to K-Fed told People magazine.

Specifically, Kevin is reportedly worried about leaving his kids with his soon-to-be ex.

Under the agreement the couple reached in March, once papers are signed, Britney and Kevin would have joint legal and physical custody of their two sons — Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 9 months.

"Britney's attorneys are anxious to see Kevin sign off on a divorce," the source told People. "But Kevin and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan are dragging their heels out of concern over reports of Britney's post-rehab partying."

The source also told People that Kevin "wants to make sure that the divorce document makes it simple enough for Kevin to downsize Britney's access to her kids the next time her behavior troubles him."

Britney filed for divorce from Kevin in November 2006.

Since leaving the Promises rehab facility in Malibu in March, Britney has been a Hollywood night time hotspot regular.

On Thursday, believed to be of a legal nature, to her shocked mother Lynne.

The pop princess turned up in her Mercedes convertible to what is believed to be the set of Jamie Lynn Spears’ TV show, in Valencia, Calif., where she walked up to her mother and handed her two pieces of paper. Lynne took the papers from her daughter and began to examine them.

Spears’ mother looked stunned as she read through the paperwork. The two also had a brief exchange.

At one point, Britney appeared to hold the door back as her mother read through the papers, giving photographers a better view of the incident.

Spears then left the scene, smiling and waving at the photographers as she walked to her car.

Earlier this week X-17 reported Spears was planning to seek a restraining order to keep her mother from visiting her two boys. The paparazzi agency reported Spears believes her mother is abusing pain medication.
