Bret Michaels can start lookin' for nothin' but a good time again.

The Poison frontman was discharged today from a Phoenix hospital, two days after going under the knife to close a hole in his heart that he's had since birth, E! News can confirm.

"Bret's procedure had excellent results," said Dr. Mansour Assar, the interventional cardiologist at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center who operated on Michaels. "Because of the successful outcome and Bret's determination, I believe he will be able to return to normal activity within weeks."

The 47-year-old rocker was diagnosed last April with a patent foramen ovale, the medical description for the ticker problem. Surgeons working with the aid of cameras successfully inserted a closure device between two chambers of his heart to prevent any abnormal blood flow, which could have led to potentially deadly blood clots and strokes.

The Celebrity Apprentice star, who's also diabetic, nearly died a year ago after suffering from a cerebral hemorrhage that left him in critical condition. Luckily, he got to the ER and the bleeding in his brain was contained in time. A few weeks before that he was hospitalized in San Antonio for an emergency appendectomy.
