Despite earlier rumors regarding a slow-burning feud between Angelina Jolie and Mama Pitt, Brad Pitt’s bringing his entire brood home for the holidays.
The globe-trotting Brangelina clan plans on spending an all-American Thanksgiving in Missouri, reports OK! “They're trying to get the kids together with Brad’s family,” one insider told the magazine. If there is any tension between Brad’s best gals, it sounds as if they’ll set it aside for the holidays. “Angelina knows how important it is for [Brad] to get quality time with his folks."
Also important for the couple, says another friend of the family, is making sure that their children, Maddox, 6; Pax, 3; Zahara, 2; and 1-year-old Shiloh understand the value of having a close-knit family. “Brad thinks it’s just as important to have the kids be exposed to the values he saw growing up in Missouri as it is for them to travel around the world,” the source told OK! “It helps keep him grounded, and he wants the same for his kids.”
Jessica Simpson wants a man Forget Nick Lachey, John Mayer and even those Johnny Knoxville relationship rumors. Jessica Simpson wants her a man. During a recent appearance on “The View,” the blonde bombshell said she’s married to her music. “As far as boys go, I don't need 'em,” Jessica affirmed. “I want a man."
In a portion of the interview posted on People.com, the young divorcee described the guy of her dreams: “Somebody who's a really great family guy,” the singer and actress said. “Like if a kid were to come up to him and tug on his shirt, he'd pick him up and twirl him around. I definitely love a family man, a guy that's not afraid to pick up the babies. ... Somebody that wants to meet my grandparents immediately. I think all those characteristics are what make a man attractive.”
Jessica also confessed that Mr. Right should be secure enough to handle a strong, confident woman. “If he has a cute butt, that's all right,” she added.
Anthony Hopkins bashes U.S. celeb culture While Anthony Hopkins enjoys the life and career he’s made in America, the “Silence of the Lambs” star isn’t happy with the media and the prevailing celebrity-obsessed culture. “They are the body snatchers,” Anthony said of televised talking heads. “They have taken everything out of us. Look at American news programs. Most of them are adverts. It's showtime, war as showtime. Those anchor people are all weird and strange. I wouldn't say they are insane but with the lip gloss ... it's Disneyland.”
The veteran actor has an even harder time with "the obsession with Anna Nicole Smith, the obsession with Paris Hilton.” Anthony explained to the Guardian, “The whole world is obsessed. The national nightmare - will Paris Hilton be released from jail? You look at the magazines. Brad and Angelina - everyone is so breathless because 'Are they going to break up?' What is this about?
“It is insanity. But it feeds a mass of people who work day in, day out. They have a struggle to survive and have no other outlet but to be entertained. It's not the people's fault. It is the way the media exploits the people.”
