Brad Womack's in full denial mode.

The Bachelor star is doing some major damage control after his ex-girlfriend claimed that he begged her to marry him just weeks before going off to shoot the new season.

"No, sir, I can 100 percent tell you I did not actually ask this woman to marry me," Womack swears to George Lopez on tonight's episode of Lopez Tonight.

But wait, there's more...

Asked if ever proposed to Laurel Kagay, his on-off squeeze for eight years, Womack, 37, replies:

"No, sir, I didn't...I want to take the high road because this particular woman I cared for very much at one time" Womack explains, not bashing his ex. "I've learned really quickly, this experience can breed nothing but negativity, along with all of the positive."

He calls her story in Us Weekly "embellished."

"It is what it is. No, sir, I can 100 percent tell you I did not actually ask this woman to marry me....100 percent I've saved that for a very special woman. And if that [a proposal] happened...I've always saved that for a very special woman," Womack says.

Kagay, 31, is on the latest cover of the magazine, claiming that Womack proposed to her "countless" times over the course of their relationship and that the last time he tried to put a ring on it was right before he left Texas to shoot this season's Bachelor.

"Even when we weren't together, he would say how much he loved me and was going to marry me," she tells the mag, adding that he continued to contact her through emails as he began production on the show.

Kagay claims she came forward to protect whichever woman Womack gave the final rose to on the show. "I'm sure the girl he picked would want to know that he was proposing to another woman right before he started taping the show," she said. "I would want to know."

A source familiar with Womack and Kagay backed up her story to E! News, calling it "all true."

Still, it doesn't seem to have affected Womack's new realtionship--he claims found true love this time around.

"When I say I'm in love, I mean it with every bone in my body," he told us earlier this season. "I am happier than I've been in 10, 15 years. Not a single [regret]. I'm very much in love."
