Erik Chopin won a quarter of a million dollars when he dropped over 200 pounds to win last season’s “The Biggest Loser.” The bad news is that he also ended up with a lot of skin where his fat used to be.

Today, as Weight Loss Week Continues, we go inside the operating room.

“I lost 214 pounds, the summer months are coming here in New York, I want to be able to take my shirt off, go to the beach,” he told “Access Hollywood .”

The journey to get Erik in beach body shape started a year ago when he arrived on the “The Biggest Loser” ranch weighing a massive 407 pounds.

When he dropped down to an unimaginable 193 pounds just eight months later (that’s more than half his body weight), it left an unsightly side effect of saggy skin.

“Erik, after losing all the weight — over 200 pounds — has got all the skin, not just in the belly area, but also the love-handle area and the back,” Dr. Andre Aboolian a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon noted.

Erik made the 2,500-mile journey from his home in Long Island to Dr. Aboolian’s OR to get his whole body nipped, tucked and lifted.

After getting marked up and put under, Dr. Aboolian performed a marathon 10-hour operation.

Six days later, after 10 pounds of skin was removed which was donated to burn victims, Erik saw the results for the first time.

Following the surgery, Erik’s only concern was the rule of no exercising for six weeks.

“It’s gonna be hard again and that’s kind of freaking me out a little bit,” he admits.

Six weeks later, Erik was back at home with his wife Michele and two beautiful daughters — 4-year-old Holly and her 6-year-old big sister Emma — and they’re all enjoying his dramatic results.

“It’s the flattest I’ve ever had my whole midsection,” Erik said.
