'The Biggest' complainer lashes out at a trainer

It was an emotional night on “The Biggest Loser” ranch Tuesday, as each of the “Battle of the Ages” teams faced different woes.

For the black team, the troubles began when one member won a Plinko-like game that led to a trip back home — with one big caveat. The winning player, Sunny, would stay with her family and trainer Bob Harper for the week, but when she returned for the weigh-in, her percentage of weight lost would be the only one to count for the whole team.

The black team members worried about their “Loser” future, what with their in-game fates tied solely to Sunny, but they forgot one important thing: If they’d paid attention to the competition so far, they’d realize they’re unbeatable.

Sure, the red team is often hot on their heels in various challenges. But on the scales? Team Black always wins.

One might think that the other teams would notice that as well and kick up their own efforts in response. One might be wrong.

While the reds worked hard in the gym under the guidance of ultimate eye candy eager trainer Dolvett Quince, they frequently lost their focus, choosing to get in a few laughs and a few reps at the same time.

Dolvett did not approve.

But the problems on the red team seemed nothing compared to what the blues faced this week.  With Coach Mike out of the picture, Becky and Bonnie were the only ones left to represent the senior group. Talk about your long odds.

Of course, on the plus side, with only two members, the trainer-to-participant ratio had the potential to work in the blues’ favor. And who wouldn’t want more face time with their trainer in the midst of a weight-loss competition?

The answer to that is Bonnie.

That’s right. With her dwindling team lagging behind, Bonnie decided she’d finally had enough of Anna Kournikova’s seemingly supportive approach. In one complain-packed scene after another, she resisted Anna’s every effort and got downright pouty when Anna addressed the issue.

“Anna shows favoritism,” Bonnie said during one of her rants to the camera. “Sometimes I think she may say she’s patient, but she’s not patient with me. I find lately, my mood changes instantly when I know she’s coming.”

And the complaining didn’t stop there. After Sunny returned and the teams gathered for the weekly weigh-in, Bonnie was right back it.

“(Anna) brings anger out in me that I’ve never had before and I don’t like that,” she said.

But with all of the other “Loser” hopefuls and trainers gathered around, Bonnie soon saw that there wasn’t much sympathy to be had.

“We don’t know how long we get with these people,” Bob said in response to the drama. “And I’m not here to be their friend. I’m here to change their lives.”

Anna nodded in agreement.

Somehow, despite all the resistance, Bonnie and Becky dropped enough pounds to keep their tiny team safe, if not happy, for another week.

The black team, aka Sunny, dropped 14 pounds and gained first place — of course.

So it was Team Red that landed last. Maybe after voting out Courtney, they’ll leave the laughter behind and get serious in the gym.
