Justin Bieber has stopped trending on Twitter — and the teen star has called out the micro-blogging site over the shocking development.

“I heard you changed your system to stop my fans from making trending topics?? Really?? Where is the love??” Bieber tweeted to @twitter on Saturday, the service’s official Twitter handle.

According to social networking news site Mashable, the site has changed the algorithm that determines its “Trending Topics,” the most popular subjects — indicated often by a special hashtagged word or phrase — being talked about across Twitter.

“The new algorithm identifies topics that are immediately popular, rather than topics that have been popular for a while or on a daily basis, to help people discover the ‘most breaking’ breaking news from across the world,” Twitter notes on its “Help” page.

Indeed, Bieber-related topics have trended nearly every day for weeks thanks to the teen star’s devoted fans, though Twitter did not comment to Mashable if the change had been made with him in mind.

Other young artists, such as The Jonas Brothers, have also inspired similar Twitter devotion.

And though Bieber may be taking a trending break, another young star reached the top 10 on Saturday — Greyson Michael Chance, the big-voiced sixth-grade singer whose YouTube cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” landed him a performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” earlier this week.
