For months, "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans have been panting for a glimpse at the upcoming movie adaptation of the erotic novel read 'round the world. On Saturday night, Beyoncé threw them a bone with a brief Instagram video that strongly hinted at her involvement in the film's soundtrack.
Granted, there's not much to the clip. We see little more than hands and knees — presumably those of stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who play tough-love couple Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele — and a key turning in a lock as Bey's breathy voice articulates what Rolling Stone suggests is a "goth rendition" of 2003's "Crazy in Love."
The film's Twitter page and one of the stars, Rita Ora, also posted the teaser, which has over 387,000 likes on Beyoncé's page alone. All parties were mum on details (save for a #fiftyshades hashtag). Perhaps we'll learn more when the movie's first official trailer is released on Thursday.
Beyoncé was first rumored to have a hand in the film's soundtrack in March, when her tune "Haunted" was heard in "Fifty Shades" clips shown at a film industry trade show.
The movie is due to hit theaters on Feb. 14, 2015.
