Beyoncé pulled a Beyoncé on Saturday, surprising fans with a new song, but with a catch.
To celebrate her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Jay Z, Beyoncé announced the new song, called "Die With You," on social media with preview video clips. But fans can only hear the full tune and watch the full video on Jay Z's new streaming service, Tidal.
Tidal, which was released during a star-studded press conference last week, costs $20 per month — more than twice the monthly rate for Spotify's paid users. Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and a host of other musicians have changed their social media avatars to Tidal's shade of teal in support of the service.
Of course, the Internet being, well, the Internet, Beyoncé's song and video leaked briefly on several platforms including YouTubeand Soundcloud.
