It's official! Bethenny Frankel will return to "The Real Housewives of New York," NBC has confirmed. The fan favorite, who left in 2010, will again be a regular in the series' seventh season.
"I'm genuinely excited, with a side of slightly nervous, for my return," Frankel said in a statement. "Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can't wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us."
Much has changed since Frankel left. She's become a top businesswoman thanks to her SkinnyGirl line of products; she appeared in two of her own shows that put the spotlight on her engagement and marriage to Jason Hoppy ("Bethenny Getting Married?" and "Bethenny Ever After"), though the two separated in 2012; she gave birth to daughter Bryn in 2010; she released more books and an exercise DVD; and hosted her own self-titled talk show, which was canceled in February.
"I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side," she said on her website. "It finally feels right to go home again. The idea of doing the show feels exciting and refreshing, like it did at the beginning all those years ago. New faces, new circumstances, and in many ways, a new me and a new life.
As for whether Bryn, her love life or those Hello Kitty pajamas will make an appearance on the show, stay tuned. "Basically the important thing is how I'm just being honest about my perspective," she said.
