"Iron Man" is back, and his ego is growing. But then Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and his super suit must face off against Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), and all hell breaks loose. Early reviews are mixed — Brian Lowry of Variety says "'Iron Man 2' isn't as much fun as its predecessor, but by the time the smoke clears, it'll do." Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but that's not going to stop millions of fans from flocking to the flick. (Opens May 7.)

Looking for something calmer at the cineplex? Check out a showing of the lovely "Babies," a documentary following the first year of four babies from around the world — one in Namibia, one in Tokyo, one in Mongolia and one in San Francisco. (Opens May 7.)

You'll likely have to go to arthouse or indie theaters for this one, but "Casino Jack and the United States of Money" is worth the trip. Kevin Spacey stars as Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who's currently serving time for fraud, conspiracy and tax evasion. The docudrama, which also features Kelly Preston and Jon Lovitz, looks just fascinating. (Opens May 7.)

TVIt's not exactly football season, but "Friday Night Lights" is back for its fourth season on NBC. Coach Taylor is now at East Dillon, but his wife, Tami, is principal at his old school, Dillon High. It's spring, but in Dillon, it's always football season. (May 7, 8 p.m., NBC.)

DVD
One of the biggest problems with the musical "Nine" is its title.  It's not "9 1/2 Weeks," and it's not "9," the animated Tim Burton film. This one stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench and Nicole Kidman, and follows the life of a famous film director as he struggles with a midlife crisis and complicated romantic involvements. Variety called it "sophisticated, sexy and stylishly decked out." (Out on DVD May 4.)

"There's a place ya gotta go for learning all ya wanna know about 'The Facts of Life' ... ya gotta get 'em right." If you're singing that theme song in your head and remembering Blair, Jo, Tootie, Natalie and Mrs. G., you might want to check out the fourth season of "The Facts of Life," now on DVD. This is the one where Blair and Jo head off to Langley College. (Out on DVD May 4.)
