An arrest warrant has been issued for actor Shia LaBeouf after he failed to appear in court Tuesday morning, Access Hollywood has confirmed. A lawyer also did not show up on his behalf at the hearing. As a result, a $1,000 bench warrant was issued.

The 21-year-old star of “Transformers” and “Indiana Jones” was issued a ticket in Burbank, Calif., on Feb. 18 for unlawful smoking.

According to the City of Burbank’s Web site, it is illegal to smoke “within 20 feet of all entrances, exits and open windows of buildings open to the public.” In addition, smoking is prohibited on “all sidewalks and pedestrian areas in Downtown Burbank and all areas within 5 feet.”

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for LaBeouf was not immediately available for comment.
