Armie Hammer plays a gun-toting masked crusader in the upcoming "Lone Ranger" movie but in a new interview with Elle, the actor reveals that it's been his experiences with knives that have provided some of his scariest moments.
Hammer revealed that back in his younger days, during which he says he dated many women who were "bad, bad news," a woman once whipped out a knife in the bedroom.
"One chick tried to stab me when we were having sex," he told the magazine. "She was like, ‘True love leaves scars. You don't have any.' And then she tried to stab me with a butcher knife.
"Of course, I promptly broke up with her....seven months later," Hammer said.
Shockingly, the knife-wielding ex-girlfriend isn't the only person that's attempted to stab Hammer. During a trip to Australia, the actor said he got into another dicey situation.
“This homeless guy tried to stab me," Hammer said. "I punched him and stole his knife. I took his knife because he would have tried to stab somebody else! He was obviously crazy."
Hammer, who said his party days are over, appears to be enjoying a safer lifestyle these days. He's been married to former model Elizabeth Chambers since 2010.
"I like the idea of marriage. I like the idea that I have a best friend,” he said. “It’s just really comforting. I remember being single and trying to date, and it was just stressful and hard. It wasn’t fun. This is fun."
