Are Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake on the rocks?

The two reportedly had a nasty public spat at an L.A. club earlier this month because of Timberlake’s roving eye, which ended up with Diaz in tears.

The couple’s fight was caused by Justin’s flirtatious behavior toward a “curvy blonde” who had been at the stars’ banquette at L.A.’s Spider Club on Aug. 5, according to the upcoming issue of In Touch Weekly. “The argument got so nasty that Cameron, 32, and Justin, 24, ended up leaving in separate cars,” according to the mag.

A rep for Timberlake denies the incident, though some are saying that the couple’s relationship seems shaky. A few days after the alleged spat, Timberlake was supposedly spotted partying with the Black Eyed Peas at club I-Candy.

Terrific TomLooks like Tom Hanks has been doing after-hours goodwill work for his next flick.

The filming of "The Da Vinci Code" has caused outrage in certain circles, but the star has been making allies while mingling with the locals in the west England town where the controversial flick is being shot. The flick has been met with criticism from high-ranking Catholic leaders and even a protest from a Catholic nun, but the notoriously nice Hanks has been hanging out with pub-goers in the small town of Lincolnshire, where scenes are being shot at the Lincoln Cathedral because filmmakers were barred from shooting at Westminster Abbey in London.

Hanks, one of the highest-paid stars in the world, chatted up the locals as he ate at a traditional inn called Wig and Mitre. “I’m told Tom Hanks was lovely,” owner Toby Hope told the London Mirror. “His was the last table left in the restaurant at the end of the night and he was very civilized.” After Hanks closed down the place, he headed to another pub and mingled with the crowd there.

Notes from all overIs Tommy Lee looking to shed his bad boy image? Shortly after unveiling an anti-fur ad — in which the rocker encouraged fans to wear tattoos rather than animals’ skins — he was hounded by a homeless man as he got into his limo. “The guy was shouting, ‘Hey Tommy! Love the drums. Can I have two dollars?’” says a source, who reports that Lee gave him a hundred-dollar bill and said, “Go have a good time.”  . . . After Hugh Jackman reportedly said he’s not interested in playing James Bond — the latest in a very long line of stars mentioned as possibilities to play the secret agent — some are wondering if the spy franchise has lost its cachet. Jackman allegedly said he’s too well known, “Fantastic Four” star Ioan Gruffudd has said he’s too young, Ewan McGregor says he’s never been formally approached, but he’s probably too busy, and Clive Owen says simply that he’s not all that interested in it.  . . . Finally, someone is saying something nice about Tom Cruise. Victoria Beckham says it was Cruise who introduced her to hubby soccer star David Beckham. “[Cruise is] an incredible person and he said a lot of things that really impressed us,” she said in an interview with Spanish mag Chic, “not because it’s Tom Cruise but because he’s terribly intelligent.” This is, however, the same interview where Beckham was quoted as saying that she’s never read a book.
