Maybe if the Tasmanian Devil wore Prada, it would have been more of a compliment.

We're referring, of course, to James Franco's Late Show appearance a few days after the Oscars where he compared his cohost Anne Hathaway to a certain Looney Tunes character.

So what does the actress have to say when the subject is brought up in the August issue of Harper's Bazaar ?

"I let James know that a whirling dervish is a more flattering comparison than a Tasmanian devil," Hathaway says. "I called him, and we e-mailed a bit."

It was back in March when the Late Show's David Letterman asked Franco why some people assumed he was "under the influence" during his Academy Awards gig.

"I've thought about it," Franco said at the time. "I think I know why, because--I love her--but Anne Hathway is so energetic, I think the Tasmanian Devil would look stoned standing next to Anne Hathaway."

But, clearly, Hathaway isn't letting such a comment, or anyone else's, ever take away from the experience she had on Hollywood's biggest night.

"In the grand scheme of things, I got to have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," she says proudly. "I met great people, wore beautiful clothes. And I got to put on a show. I don't see a downside. Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars."

Or was just stoned.
