Aniston's stylist was stoned, but what's the excuse for these celeb hairdos?

Jennifer Aniston's "Rachel" haircut on "Friends" dominated 1990s fashion. Millions of women, many of whom looked nothing like Aniston, requested the bouncy, layered hairstyle, and it earned the fame that Farrah Fawcett's feathered look had in the 1970s.But on Friday, Women's Wear Daily reported that Aniston's friend Chris McMillan, creator of the "Rachel," said he was stoned when he created the lo

But on Friday, Women's Wear Daily reported that Aniston's friend Chris McMillan, creator of the "Rachel," said he was stoned when he created the look in 1994. "I’m 14 years sober, so I feel safe enough to say that," McMillan said.

So now we have an excuse for the look that dominated so many 1990s yearbooks. But that doesn't explain a few other celebrity 'dos.

Donald Trump
Surely a man this rich could have his own stylist, or even afford to weave a completely new hairpiece out of spun gold. His hair is such a pop-culture catchphrase that the Huffington Post recently ran a comparison between Trump's hair and a flannel moth caterpillar. To be fair, Trump hasn't hidden from the coiff-troversy; he appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and at a minimum, proved it's all real.

Justin Bieber
The young singer is just the latest in a proud line of mop-topped musicians (The Beatles and The Monkees paved the way). But he's the only one who inspired a website of photo comparisons called "Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber."

Kelly Osbourne
Ozzy and Sharon's daughter dropped a ton of weight and jumped on to the cutting edge with her new look. She's sported purple-gray hair for three years now, and fans either love it or hate it. Osbourne, 27, says she figures she has until she is 30 to have crazy color fun with her hair, saying, "once you're 30, you look like a right idiot walking around with like rainbow, bright color hair."

Kate Gosselin
Remember Kate Gosselin, whose family drama with her sextuplets, twins and bitter divorce from husband Jon made her a tabloid favorite? Her show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8" was renamed "Kate Plus 8" after the couple split, but that show was canceled in 2011. Mama Kate had many hairdos throughout the show's run and beyond, turning slowly from an unknown Pennsylvania mom to a celebrity of sorts. But her most infamous hairdo was the spiky 2009 look headlines dubbed a "reverse mullet."
