Alley's 'Dancing' partner swears fall 'will never happen again'

The dance floor drop that swept Kirstie Alley off her feet on Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” was the first tumble for the favorite, and according to pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, it was also the last.“To all the fans...I'm sorry!” the ballroom champ tweeted shortly after the performance. “It will never happen again and I will never 'fall'! The dance floor drop that swept Kirstie Alley off her feet on Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” was the first tumble for the favorite, and according to pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, it was also the last.

“To all the fans...I'm sorry!” the ballroom champ tweeted shortly after the performance. “It will never happen again and I will never 'fall'! To @kirstiealley You were..FLAWLESS! In more ways than one!”

According to Chmerkovskiy, the trip-up was completely his fault, as he suffered a muscle pain or spasm that prevented him from properly supporting his partner. Despite the drop, the dance continued and went on to earn raves from the judges.

"It was sweet. He just looked at me and said, ‘Let's keep dancing,'" Alley told E! Online after the show. "And I thought, ‘I like that.' I have the best partner!"

Later Alley offered more praise for the pro on Twitter, referring to him as “a gladiator” and “a champion.”
