‘Desperate Housewife’ talks about Tony Parker on the VMA red carpet

It looks like the women of Wisteria Lane were quite busy this weekend.

While Teri Hatcher hosted the Pageant of the Masters Gala Benefit in Laguna Beach, California, her "Desperate" co-star Eva Longoria was heating up the Miami scene.

And from the moment she arrived after a five-hour flight to the east coast, Eva was already looking red carpet ready.

"There is just so much to do. It's overwhelming," she told Access as she stepped off the plane. "It's a very tight schedule."

Her first stop — Diddy's Sean John party at the luxurious Hotel Setai, where Eva turned up the heat in a floral dress by her designer pal Esteban Portizar — who also happened to be her date.

"Yes I go everywhere with him. I keep him in my pocket," she joked of Portizar.

But before the rumor mill starts spinning, it’s not another new man for Eva. We can report her beau — NBA star Tony Parker — has nothing to worry about.

"Where is Tony? Why didn't he come to the MTV VMAs?" Billy Bush asked her once she hit the VMA red carpet.

"Oh, he hates music," Eva laughed. "No, I'm just kidding. He loves music. Believe me he would kill to be here but he is playing for the national team in France."

"Eva, I'm beginning to get a sense that this is getting serious with Tony," Billy suggested.

"It's not getting serious — it is serious," she replied.

"Could this [ring] be moved over?" Billy followed, pointing to the jewelry on her middle finger.

"Not this particular one," she smiled. "It's so funny because there have been all these reports. We are not engaged. I was wearing one of my other little itty bitty rings and they asked if it was an engagement ring and I'm like, 'You really think this little itty bitty thing is gonna be my engagement ring?!'"

So no big rocks to speak of. But there is a big bump on her head thanks to her recent on-set accident.

"Tell us what happened. You were shooting a scene in a prison yard, right?" Billy asked.

"Yeah and a pole fell on my head," she answered. "It didn't knock me out. I never lost consciousness."

"Is the pole okay?" Billy grinned.

"The pole is doing fine," she smiled. "I did have a mild concussion and I went right back to work. A couple of days later it started hurting again so we went and got a CT scan and an MRI and everything is fine."

"Don't you have other people to interview!" she cracked up.
