Everyone loves doing "the Carlton," but are we doing it correctly?
Don't fret. Alfonso Ribeiro taught us the right way to do his signature dance from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" while stopping by TODAY Friday morning.
"You know, you have to do a little more than just the arms," Ribeiro told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager after they busted out their best "Carlton" moves. "There's a whole thing that has to happen with it."
He then showed them how it's done and called what they were doing the "chill version."
"The hips gotta move," he said.
Thanks for the tips! It's not every day you get a lesson from the master himself.
Even though it's been nearly 26 years since "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" premiered, Ribeiro is still getting laughs today as host of "America's Funniest Home Videos."
"I love epic fails, so here's a great safe place to watch people fall and hurt themselves and do things they shouldn't do," the actor said when asked what he loves about the long-running reality show he and so many others grew up watching.
His 2-year-old son, A.J., now loves watching, and shares his dad's appreciation for the show.
"He just laughs all the time," Ribeiro said.
