Christina Aguilera ready to take a turn at acting.
The singer revealed backstage at the Grammy Awards she will be looking into moving into film and television during her next venture — a tour for her "Back To Basics" album.
"I've been reading scripts for a number of years now … I really am interested in that in its own art form," she said. "While I'm on tour I will be reading scripts on the road."
Aguilera says however she is in no rush to jump on a project just to get in the acting game.
"I'm waiting for the right thing to come along," she said. "It's important it's the right role."
She did however don three different "Christina" guises for the video for her next single, "Candy Man." Aguilera co-directed the video, but she also stars as a blonde, brunette and red-headed version of herself, she noted. The singer will show off some old-fashioned dance moves in the clip.
"There were a lot of servicemen involved," she said of the video, which is set in World War II-era America. I'm jitterbugging [too]. It was so fun."
What was not fun was a moment backstage at the Grammys when she was put on the spot. After complimenting Aguilera on her poise a journalist asked her how she managed to exit limousines in a ladylike fashion without revealing any of her private areas, unlike some of her peers.
"Um, are you setting me up to say keep your legs closed?" she cautiously asked. "There's a proper way to make sure privates are kept private. That's just my personal take on exiting a limo."
On the flipside, it was announced during the Grammy broadcast that actress Scarlett Johansson is working on her first album.
