What a drag!

Adele celebrated her 27th birthday on May 5 by dressing as her "hero," George Michael.

The British singer-songwriter donned Michael's signature aviators, pompadour and facial scruff for the special occasion, sharing photos of the hilarious costume on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

"Thank you for the birthday wishes I had a wonderful time! I was my hero x #gottahavefaith," she tweeted, making a reference to Michael's 1987 hit "Faith," from his album of the same name.

Adele's fans clearly loved the look. "Can she get any cooler?" commented one Instagram user.

But the ultimate compliment came from Michael himself, who wished Adele a happy birthday via Twitter, adding that he was "so flattered" by the tribute.
