For his entire adult life, Max Kessler has been told he looks just like Adam Sandler.

Now he knows what it's like to actually be Adam Sandler — at least for a day.

The Sandler doppelganger was invited by the star to walk the red carpet with him on Monday at the Los Angeles premiere of his new Netflix movie, "The Do-Over," in which Sandler plays a character named ... Max Kessler.

"It's a younger, sweeter, better version of me," Sandler told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere.

Kessler, 23, is an accountant from New York City whose striking resemblance to Sandler went viral last month. He posted a side-by-side picture on Imgur and Reddit upon learning he shared the same name as Sandler's character in the new movie.

Sandler found the post on Reddit and responded, with the two trading pictures of themselves making funny faces.

That led to an invite to the premiere from Sandler.

Kessler got to meet Sandler's co-star, David Spade, and plenty of others during his night in Hollywood.

“He’s a good kid,” Sandler said at the premiere. “He’s funny as hell and I was happy to meet him.”
