Somebody's got a lot of confidence that audiences are going to really, really want to see a lot of "Fantastic Beasts."

The first film in the prequel series by "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," hasn't even been released yet, but the author joined a fan event on Thursday to reveal there are five movies in the series planned.

"We were doing some script sessions the other day, and I can tell you that we always knew it was going to be more than one movie; we knew that from the start," said Rowling, who surprised fans by coming out on stage at the Periscope live-streamed event with star Eddie Redmayne and director David Yates.

"We said a trilogy is a kind of placeholder," she continued. "I've now done the plotting properly, so we’re pretty sure it's going to be five movies."

Accio sequels, indeed!

Even the actors looked surprised, and when Dan Fogler looked confused Rowling leaned over and said, "Do you want me to kill you?"
