"The 33," which opens later this year, tells the incredible true story of the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped underground for 69 days during the 2010 disaster that captivated the attention of people worldwide.

The film stars Antonio Banderas as mine leader "Super" Mario Sepúlveda, and also features Juliette Binoche, Rodrigo Santoro, Lou Diamond Phillips and Gabriel Byrne in emotional performances.

A new trailer for the film, released Wednesday, gives a glimpse at the events leading up to mine collapse, the miners' struggle to survive, their dramatic rescue and the extensive media coverage of the disaster.

"The 33" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 13.
