Police say three patrolmen were injured during a shootout with a fugitive holed up inside reggae singer Luciano’s home.

A police statement says the hourlong standoff ended with the gunman, Andrew Senior, being killed at the Grammy-nominated singer’s estate in the capital, Kingston.

Two of the officers were in critical condition after Wednesday’s shooting.

Police say the Rastafarian singer, whose real name is Jepther McClymont, was questioned but has not been charged with harboring a fugitive. Senior was a suspect in several killings.

The 44-year-old Luciano is best known for the songs “Lord Give Me Strength” and “It’s Me Again, Jah.” His 2001 release, “A New Day,” earned a Grammy nomination for best reggae album.
