You've got a friend in me! This Pomeranian adorably guides his blind best friend through life

Zen and Hisho, a Pomeranian and an Eskimo dog, are inseparable best friends with an inspiring story.

They may say that man is a dog's best friend but that's not the case for two close-knit canine's in Washington.

Six months before Hisho, an American Eskimo dog, was scheduled to have an eye-operation, his parents rescued Zen, a tiny Pomeranian, and the pair became fast friends.

Once Hisho underwent his surgery, leaving him blind, Zen's role in his life blossomed into what might just be the most inspiring and heartwarming furry friendship we've seen. And lucky for us, they share all of their picturesque adventures together on their paw-sitively adorable Instagram page (Prepare for your heart go into overdrive).

The account, run by the duo's owners, gives a vivid peak into what daily life is like for Hisho as a blind dog, and the many ways in which Zen serves as much more than just a physical guide, but also as a constant source of healthy companionship, love, and comfort.

In a photo posted from one of Hisho and Zen's hiking trips, the touching caption shed some greater insight on the two friend's relationship, and why they enjoy spending their time outdoors

"My name is Hoshi and I am an active blind dog. My guiding light is Zen," the caption reads. "While I may not be able to see, I can still feel the trail under my paws, the wind around my fur, and Zen's leading tug on my harness. When we stop to take pictures, I know we reached something beautiful."

"We strive to live an unforgettable, adventurous life."

And that they do. The inseparable (senior!) pups have been just about everywhere together, and it doesn't appear they have any plans of slowing down.

Whatever the day calls for, the fluffy dynamic duo is always up for a new adventure, big or small. Their favorite pastime together? Hisho and Zen never turn down a good old-fashioned hike, and they're not afraid to climb to the very top.

But if there's one thing to take away from Hisho and Zen's one-of-a-kind lifelong bond, the answer is simple — sometimes all we need in life is our best friend.

And last but not least, they know the ultimate winning formula to an everlasting friendship is a little give and take.

"How much love inside a friend? Depends how much you give ’em," they wrote in an Instagram caption, taking a page from Shel Silverstein's book.

Let's all take a moment to thank Hisho and Zen for teaching us their ways. Now go give your best friend a hug.
