Look who came back to pay his old friends a visit!

Wrangler, TODAY's original puppy with a purpose, was back to say hi to everyone on Wednesday since leaving the show in March to continue his training as a guide dog.

Wrangler has been busy working on his training with Guiding Eyes for the Blind since his time away. He passed his final blindfold test with meaning he is now officially eligible to become a guide dog.

He guided his blind-folded instructor around a city, helping her safely cross the street, stop at curbs and avoid obstacles, and doing it with confidence. We are so proud!

Wednesday also marks a special day for Wrangler because he will meet the person he will be guiding for the first time.

Wrangler sent his best wishes to TODAY's newest puppy with a purpose, Charlie, who has a beautiful new home right in the Orange Room.

Just like Wrangler, Charlie will be trained to be a service dog. He came to TODAY from America's VetDogs, a nonprofit organization that trains dogs to support veterans and first responders during combat, both physically and emotionally.

Wrangler and Charlie even met fur to fur for a quick kiss!

Maybe Wrangler can give the new guy a few pointers about his old office and show him how it's done.
