This new friendship is almost too much to bear!

A cute video from a West Virginia Virginia farm shows a rescued bear cub named Boog getting spooked while being introduced to his new housemate, a fawn.

In the cute clip, a confused 5-month-old black bear looks on at the dear apprehensively.

But with a little encouragement, he eventually musters up the confidence to come out of his hiding spot behind a nearby staircase and introduce himself.

Boog quickly gets cold feet, though, and retreats into hiding, clinging to a banister and eyeing his strange new friend from afar.

Later, Boog meets his fawn friend face-to-face and offered gave a few adorable smooches.

The encounters were captured by Joel Rosenthal, who keeps rescued animals at his Point View Farm.

He posted the videos over the summer, but internet readers only recently became aware of their pawsomeness.

Indeed, it was a cuteness overload to rival the best Disney movies!
