The survey polled users from across the website to analyze which traditional names remain at the top of the list, what new names are surfacing from pop culture and what naming trends contrast between dogs and cats.

Pop culture plays a major role when it comes to choosing a name for our furry friends. From classic movies to our favorite stars, some of the top names include Khaleesi, Bieber and even Yoda.
And similar to dog-naming trends, we're picking names we might give to a child. According to Rover.com, 52 percent of all cats have a human name, which is up from a mere 22 percent in 2014.
