A few weeks ago, we found out that there's an adorable dog out there that looks like a teddy bear — and now, the dog has become an overnight sensation.

Allow us officially introduce you to 4-month-old Tonkey Bear, a bear-coat Shar Pei.

About eight weeks ago, Tonkey's owner Christine Park created an Instagram account for the adorable dog and she has since gained over 150,000 followers. Talk about winning the popularity contest!

"When we got Tonkey, we saw the rest of the dogs in the litter and knew she was the one because she was so cute," Park told

Park is also the mom of Tonkey's sister Maxi, a 2-year-old collie-mix.

But it turns out Park wasn't necessarily expecting the fame Tonkey's brought with the Instagram account.

"The breeder told us Shar Peis were always the last to go. We wanted to create an Instagram account to raise awareness about Shar Peis and show everyone how cute Shar Pei bear-coats can be," said Park.

While she may not have been expecting her dog to become a celebrity, Park certainly isn't complaining about the wildly successful Instagram account.

"It's been really exciting to see people's reaction. It's kind of cool to show your dog and get a positive response. People love Tonkey as the way she is, as a puppy, but we also want to keep posting for the Shar Pei community," said Park, who expects Tonkey to grow to become anywhere from 45 to 55 pounds.

In the meantime, Park is making sure to document every cute little moment of Tonkey while she's a pup.

Here's the post that started it all...
