What’s cuter than a rhino calf? How about a rhino calf wallowing in mud!
In a YouTube video posted by the International Rhino Foundation, a Sumatran rhino and rhino calf are seen rolling about and enjoying some cool mud.
The calf was born in May and belongs to one of the five remaining species of rhinos, according to the foundation.
We love this little one!
But as the little calf splashes in mud, it’s important to remember the danger it faces in regards to extinction.
Sumatran rhinos are critically endangered, with only 100 left on the planet.
The International Rhino Foundation reported that at the beginning of the 20th century, there were 500,000 total rhinos. Today, there are only 29,000 left.
