Five white Bengali tiger cubs are healthy and starting to eat meat after being nursed back to health by a Manchurian tiger mom at a tiger park in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.
The quintuplets were born on July 1, but their mother was unable to produce enough milk. Staff members traded the white tigers with the Manchurian’s cubs one by one, sending her healthy cubs to a surrogate.
White tigers belong to the white variety of Bengali tigers, and they are so rare worldwide that only 200 to 300 man-fed tigers can be found in China.
