600 corgis hit the beach, and it's the best paw-ty ever!

What's more fun than 101 Dalmatians? How about 600 corgis at a beach paw-ty, complete with a costume contest and a kissing booth?

The only thing that could have improved So Cal Corgi Beach Day, which drew 600 of the little nippers to the sand and surf, would have been a visit by hardcore corgi lover Queen Elizabeth II.

But her absence didn't mean that hundreds of the adorable short-legged beasties didn't have a royally good time.

The breed-specific beach day is held a few times a year by So Cal Corgi Nation, with the latest happening on April 9, reports Mashable. Proceeds from merchandise sold go to Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue, a corgi-specific breed rescue service.

Activities included a kissing booth, a costume contest, limbo (ideal for the short-legged critters) and a talent competition. Oh, and there was even a prize given to "best momo," which is what Japanese owners call a corgi butt (because "momo" is Japanese for "peach," which is what they think a corgi butt looks like).
