Don't you love to hate those pictures of celebrities (and skinny moms in general) who are rocking a bikini bod about 2.5 seconds after having a baby?
So do we. Which is why we kind of enjoyed the picture actress and author Jenny McCarthy tweeted out recently of her massive baby bump from when she was pregnant with son Evan in 2002. The former Playboy model posted the photo for naysayers who didn't believe it when she told Shape magazine about her 90-pound weight gain.
"For anyone who doubted my 211lbs at pregnancy here is a photo i found!" McCarthy tweeted.
It didn't take long for McCarthy to lose her baby weight. She says Weight Watchers helped her learn portion control; plus she had the motivation of filming "Scary Movie 3" just months after delivering.
But the fact she put out such an unglamorous photo made us consider that this is almost a required ritual of moms, especially of those who have managed to attain post-pregnancy svelteness.
First skinny mom: I was SO HUGE when I was pregnant. I gained 80 pounds!
Second skinny mom: Oh, that's nothing. I was SUCH a cow. I doubled my body weight.
(Note: This game is no fun when your thighs and tummy are still hanging onto that baby weight.)
Oh, moms, why do we do this? What is it with the one-ups? Why do we love to brag about how HUGE we got?
